Introducing Krista Roa, Agapé's New
Director of Environmental Education

Agapé † Kure Beach Ministries is thrilled to introduce Krista Roa as the new Director of Environmental Education.

Krista has been an ACE Educator since 2018, and has thoroughly enjoyed sharing her love of nature with the schoolkids of the Triangle community.

Before moving to Raleigh in 2017, Krista was a Naturalist with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and an Educator at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. She first gained her love for teaching in college at Iowa State University where she earned her BS in Natural Resource Ecology and Management.

Krista is honored to serve as the ACE Ed Director and is looking forward to continuing the high standards of the ACE Ed program while meeting the changing needs of the Central NC communities.

Krista will become the sole ACE Ed Director on January 1, 2025, after the retirement of current Director, Mir Youngquist-Thurow. From September through December, Krista and Mir will be working as co-directors.

Through the “Reach 100” challenge, A†KB hopes to assist campers in financial need as well as provide each child with a positive and lasting impression of their value as a child of God.
